HOUSTON INTERNATIONAL QUILT FESTIVAL IS IN TOWN

All my friends have been. I go Saturday with my friend Janace.
It is a really cool place to be. I'll bet Janace comes away being one of the best quilters in the Houston Area.

Shopping, looking at quilts, shopping, and oh yes....MORE SHOPPING.

Today we will do the C's of quilting definitions for the beginning quilters:

....Chain Piecing: When you sew patches together in one long continuous line. No cutting the thread until you're done.

....Continuous-line Quilting: Quilting a design in a line that keeps on going. No stopping and starting at different places.

....Corner Square: A square that fills the spots in the corners of the quilt borders.

....Corner Triangles: The four triangles placed in the corners of on-point/diagonal set patches; half square triangles, and straight grain are on the shorter sides of the triangle.

....Cornerstones: Sashing Squares (squares of fabric) that are used to join the sashing strips at where they come together in an intersection.

OK.....more tomorrow.

In and Because of HIM,
Grandma Susan Quilts
